EarlyWorks Executive Director Bart Williams said Remington, which will open a $110 million firearms factory near Huntsville International Airport in 2015, wanted to put on the concert "to bring some holiday cheer" to the Rocket City.

The company is also working with a national charity to bring in a tractor-trailer load of food that will be distributed Friday to Manna House and the Food Bank of North Alabama, said Williams.

Several food trucks will be lined up along Monroe Street on Thursday evening to help feed the concert crowd, he said. While admission to the concert is free, there is a suggested $10 donation to Manna House and the Food Bank of North Alabama.

Dugger, who grew up in the town of Roanoke near Auburn, has developed a loyal following of NASCAR fans by playing at clubs near the racing circuit. According to the biography on his website, Dugger has performed with country artists including Trace Adkins, Sarah Evans, Diamond Rio and Craig Morgan.

Jim Ed Norman, who has worked with The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and Hank Williams Jr., among others, is producing Dugger's debut album for Sidewalk Records.

Brice, a native of Sumter, S.C., appeared on CMT's first season of "Can You Duet," finishing eighth. His brother, Lee Brice, won this year's Academy of Country Music Song of the Year for his hit, "I Drive Your Truck."

Watkins Glen Cheez-It 355 weekend to feature Tim Dugger, Zac Brown Tribute Band

Via Examiner:

Singer Tim Dugger will serve as the headliner for the Red Cat Summer Stage Concert during the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen next month. The announcement was made by Watkins Glen International via press release on Thursday, July 24.

According to Watkins Glen International (WGI), The Zac Brown Tribute Band will make their third appearance at The Glen as the opening act for the concert set to take place Friday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. The musical entertainment will follow the Bully Hill Vineyards 125 K&N Series race.

Michael Printup, president of WGI stated, "Tim Dugger is a huge hit with our fans! It might even be fair to say that he has created his own WGI following." He continued, "The Red Cat Summer Stage continues to be an added bonus for our fans and the nonstop weekend excitement leading up to the Cheez-It 355 race on Sunday."

Tim Dugger first appeared at The Glen in 2013. He headlined the Red Cat Summer Stage Concert, where he was very well received by fans. Watkins Glen International decided to bring Dugger back, along with another fan favorite, the Zac Brown Tribute Band, after listening to fan feedback.

Dugger was born and raised in Alabama and began singing gospel music at age seven. He formed several bands and performed as a teenager. As a fan of NASCAR, he began performing near popular racetracks, and eventually landed a record deal with Sidewalk Records. He has performed with country artists such as Trace Adkins, Craig Morgan, Sara Evans, and Diamond Rio. His current single is “You Know Who We Are.”

The Zac Brown Tribute Band (ZBTB) is the only 7-piece tribute band in the country. All New York State natives, the band performs covers as well as original songs.

Fans with general admission or weekend tickets at the track who want to take in the free concert should look for the Red Cat Stage area behind the Sir Jackie Stewart Grandstand. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., after the Bully Hill Vineyards 125, on Friday August 8.

The NASCAR weekend at The Glen happens August 7 - 10. The weekend opens with the Bully Hill Vineyards 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Friday, August 8. Following that will be the Nationwide Series Zippo 200 on Saturday, August 9. The feature race, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen on Sunday, August 10.

Keith Anderson and Tim Dugger perform at Budweiser Acceleration Concert

Via On Pit Road:

BROOKLYN, Mich. (July 23, 2014) – The Budweiser Acceleration Concert is a great way to continue the festivities after the Careers for Veterans 200 on Saturday, Aug. 16. The fans spoke after the 2013 concert and Michigan International Speedway listened.

Back by popular demand country music artists Keith Anderson and Tim Dugger will perform at the Budweiser Acceleration Concert on Saturday, Aug. 16 after the truck race.

Anderson will headline the always popular and free post-race concert in Lot 10. The Budweiser Acceleration Concert will begin shortly after the Careers for Veterans 200 presented by The Cooper Standard Foundation and Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation.

Diehard NASCAR fan Tim Dugger will open the concert before Anderson takes the stage.

The concert is free for anyone with a Careers for Veterans 200 race ticket, an infield wristband or an APEX wristband.

“The concert is just one of the fun things we do for guests – for free!” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “It’s become nearly as important to the weekend as the NASCAR races themselves. We received such overwhelming popular response from our fans after the Budweiser Acceleration Concert last year. We expect Anderson and Dugger to put on another great show and the fans to love it.”

Anderson’s sophomore CD garnered the biggest hit of his career, “I Still Miss You”, which peaked at number two and another Top 25 hit, “Sunday Morning In America”.

Taking the lead with other gold and platinum artists, Anderson decided  to take hold of the reigns this time by launching his music his own way and letting the fans help drive his music and passion.

Anderson’s latest song “I’ll Bring The Music” sums up Anderson to a T.  That is one thing that you can always say about this academic athlete from Miami, Oklahoma who has always excelled at anything he has put his mind to, is he WILL bring the Music.

Although he has co-written hits for other artists, most notably “Lost In This Moment”, the No. 1 smash for Big $ Rich which garnered him a CMA and ACM Song of the Year nomination, Anderson does not write with other artists in mind. Anderson also co-wrote the Grammy-nominated, “Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?)” for Garth Brooks and George Jones, “The Bed” for Gretchen Wilson and “Barn Burner” for Jason Michael Carroll.

His debut CD, “Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll”, was certified Gold and garnered two Top 10 hits (accompanied by two No. 1 music videos), “Pickin’ Wildflowers,” and “Every Time I Hear Your Name,” along with two Top 30 hits “XXL” and “Podunk”. This success prompted music trades Billboard and Radio & Records to name him country music’s No. 1 New Male Artist of 2005 and the top new solo country artist of the year.

Dugger will open the performance in Lot 10. Dugger is addicted to the “fast lane” – whether it’s horsepower in the pursuit of superstardom in country music, or hanging-out at the track with the major names in NASCAR who just happen to be his “good buddies.” Speed is in the blood of the Alabama-born native.

As an avid NASCAR follower, Dugger developed a loyal fan base in the country music clubs surrounding the race circuit.

Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is NASCAR’s fastest track and the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.
